First impressions of Manchester

When I came for the first time to Manchester I found the city not very beautiful but very friendly. I expected the city to be big. I found life in Manchester was very expensive. About the facilities ? There are many facilities like for the bus, the metro and the taxis, we can findd easily some transports. There are a lot of things to do like go to visit Old trafford and Etihad stadium, both football clubs of Manchester and go shopping. I went to Liverpool with other international students, it was really great. For the spare time, I like doing activities from Kaplan School with my friends and go to the fitness center. The food is a little strange, because it's difficult to cook normally in the residenceand there are many dishes we put in the microwawe but it's not a big problem. The weather is very dark but there is sometimes the sun so it's ok. I totally agree with my classmates, there isn't problem and it's very friendly.

When I came in Manchester I found it nice city and bigger than I expected.In fact it's very expinsive but even although that it's cheaper than London city .I like some facilities like gardens,piccadelly cinter and transportations, so it's a good expereance.Actually I used the train several times when I traveled to London,it was very interesting and confortable.
If I've a spers tims I spened it by shopping and walk around.
I tried a traditional food when I staied in homestay it was good teset and alettle bet healthy,so sometimes I ate fast food.
The wether in Manchester is very deficult it's raining and cold .

I like Manchester, because is a big city end very orgnize. The people are very helpful and extrovert, it`s good. I like go shoping because the clothes are very cheap and beautiful. I really like it! Is easy to take bus, because the peoples are very education with all. There are different places for vizit, but I have to dress with many clothes, because is very cold and until snow. The fast food is good but no is very healthy, have a veriety pub for go here and enjoy. I hope better my english and I can talk with people never difficult.

First impressions for me in Manchester. I came to Manchester on Saturday 21st. I'm from Thailand.The weather is very cold more than my country This is fist time. I saw snow and another country differnt me. I came to Manchester with my friend. I lived at Salford with host family.Salford is near to Manchester. She' s very lovely and nice. She brought me see around Manchester and Kaplan. I'm very excited. It is very beautiful and many architecture.But I The cost in Manchester is very expensive I though Manchester is big more than my country. I walked to china town in Manchester. In my spare time I spoke with my friend in Thailand and my host.I would like to go to Manchester Stadiam and London. I didn' t like food because The food is bland for me but I can ate. But now I'm happy to live here.

First whan i came to manchester i think manchester is beautiful city
big airport and bigger city many people. I think way of life in manchester is very expensive.
Manchester there are a lot of facilities convenience manchester have bus,taxi,train easy life. I travelled in Manchester at Center City I never go to the nearby city. My spare time in Manchester I like facilities shopping center people in Manchester friendlied. I like ltalian food people in english popular eat tea.I whan came to Manchester is very cold weather.

I came to manchester three weeks ago .I found the city very beautiful . It is bigger than I expected . The life in manchester is more expensive than the life in my country . I travelled to liverpol.It was very beautiful city . The weather in manchester is very cold and rainy. The food in manchester more expinsive than my city .I found the arabic food in roshulm road . In my spare time I like to go shopping from manchester city centre and I like to go to cinema.
I agree to visit manchester because it have many different facilities .

When I came to Manchester I felt comfortable and happy. I arrived in Manchester on 14Nov. I found this city beautiful and wonderful. Manchester is bigger than I expected. And it's cheaper than I expected. I think it's has famous clubs Manchester United and Manchester City and if you came to Manchester you must visit The Trafford Centre, It's the biggest mall in Manchester. There is a lot of things to do in here like play football,camping and shopping. About the places nearby Manchester Chester and Warrington. When I have free time I go to GYM and play football.

l came Manchester in 31july. by airplane,i think this is media city and beautiful city have famous manchest united football and war muesum , I think this is so so city, by bus ang by taxi ,student english visit tirp, I think in Manchester many a lot of fast food and convience food, i don't like fast food but convience food very delicious.i think is weather many coludy or rain a little sunshine,i'd like sunshine preference tempertature .
I think good nice city everybody should came trip.

Im student in kaplan(manchester) , I hope that anybody want to study english in UK that study in manchester especially with friends.
I came to manchester four months ago .first time travel out my country also I was afraid of city because I don't know about it but when I landed to manchester airport I dont feel any thing. then I went to hoest family. They were very nice with me .next day they take me to city centre because know me on city.where found a lot of halal restaurant in city also exis three train stations in city
its big city and beautiful but the cold weather in wainter

when I came to Manchester. l really like the city . I expect it crowded city but I foud it very quit. Manchester is more expensive than my city. I came to Manchestere first time whith my father after that came my brother.In the summer I call my family to Mamchrster and went to london, Adenbrah, Tshester zoo. In Manchester ther are many of butaeful plase. when I have free time I went to Traved center and restaurants.
I don't like the food but I like the weather :)

Last Friday I visited the football museum.
The museum is very amazing and beautiful.
In the museum there are many of the old cups and photos of the old players and many sports activities.

I enjoyed the museum with my friend
I advise you visit the football museum .

I arrived in Manchester on 27 June, I'm a student in Kaplan and I hope to make new friends and improve my English. I like places the city very much. Everybody tells me that the weather in Manchester is cold and raining every day, I'm feeling lucky because today is the first day it has rained.
I went to Old Trafford it is the Manchester United stadium, I enjoyed it so much.

When I came to Manchester I found a modern city whose people were very friendly. I went to the National Football Museum and if you like football it is a fantastic experience. The museum is about the history and you can see trophies, clothes of players that played in the past and you can play the penalty shot out, but you need to pay. I suggest visiting this place. Worth a visit for a couple of hours.

The football museum was very good and I spent an enjoyable time ,
but I had some problems .
The first problem was some games we needed money to play .
Some games were very expensive so some people couldn't to play these games .
The second problem was a lot of things were free but the interactive games costs a lot of money .
The football museum had a good things like :-
The staff were very friendly .
Now I think I had a fantastic experience and I learned about the history of football .

The National Football Museum is a very nice place :). It is a big building with modern architecture. In the museum you can see the entire history of football in the United Kingdom. The staff in the Museum are very friendly. In the museum there are many activities, for example football games and puzzeles. I really like this museum is amazing

I liked Knowing more of Manchester City. The city has very historic buildings and the people are very nice. I went to Science Industry Museum, City Manchester Museum and the peoples History Museum. In Kaplan School all teaches are friendly.
The course in Kaplan I think is very good and teachers give me all necessary attention.
Speaking of the Manchester city again, I think the food is different from my country, but, people all have different habits and we respect these differences.
Another thing is the weather, the morning is rainy, the afternoon sunny and night more cold.

Last week we visited the football museum, It is very amazing & a wonderful experience! So we want to visit again at another time. Its a Beautiful & great building. It has actives & friendly staff, So we enjoyed talking with them :) ,And inside the museum there is a small shop its very nice I liked - and we didn't believe that the time had passed so quickly. Well worth a look!

I don't`t like football but this is very interesting museum. I have heard football commentator phones with speech. I saw interesting games. I learned that football is a very old sport. I`m happy to go there. Thank you .

I like Manchester, I liked the club, park, museum of the malls of the people are very friendly and the organization is very good but I don't like the food and the weather here in Manchester. I really like the city because it is very calm and cheap good for studying I'll miss you in the city

last Friday. I went to football museum, It's very nice.

I'm played penalty game,shot game,head game it's wonderful.

I love these museum.

Because I learned useful information.

I hope I going again it's very beautiful and very nice.

I came to Manchester on August 3, and my first impression when I left the airport was that Manchester is a clean city and organized, and the residents here are very nice, polite and attentive.
I'm loving this city, it has very attractive women and a lot of beautiful places.

When I arrived in Manchester, I was so excited because I like living in UK and I have the best chance to learn English for 6 months. My best friend recommended to come to this city. I found Manchester a big and wonderful city for all students. Everything is available, you can get different kinds of food and you can meet a lot off people from around the world. I spent a great time here and i recommend for anyone need good atmosphere to come to this city.

When I came to Manchester I found it very beautiful. I thought it was a small city but after I arrived here I changed that. I lived with a host family. they were friendly and helpful. I have met many friends and we spent a good time together. We try to improve our English. In fact, I like this city because my college is good and I can meet my friends any time also we have coffee and some food at international restaurants. Last week my family arrived here. I already have rented a big house because my family is big. My son is studying in Kaplan as well. we are looking to improve our English language skills and our culture.

When I arrived in Manchester, I remember thinking that this city was my best bet to learn speak English. I arrived on a Saturday morning and I felt the city's mood at that moment. I met some different people from different cultures and all of them helped a lot in my first hours in this city.
I had walked for a long time before I found my residence, and while I was walking I could see lot of happy people in the streets.
I will stay here for just 4 weeks, but I'd like to come back many, many times.
This city is the meaning of happiness.

When I came to The UK, which is the first time in my life, the first impression that I had ever was my English. So in those days I could not speak English very well. That feeling was the most difficult , I was thinking I could have stopped my studying in England. I thought my life will be lost. But now obviously I learn English ,so that situation encourages me to get down to my studying gradually. I have had a wonderful experience since I lived and studied in England. Also I met lots of different people from different countries.

When I arrived to Manchester, I thought it is a beautiful city. Because the weather was so good in that time. But in my opinion, Manchester isn't a big city, maybe because I come from China which country is so big. There aren't traffic jams, too much people and everyone is friendly. It makes me comfortable in here.

But I really don't like the weather in here. It's always changeable. And I found life in here is more expensive than I expected. For example, the bus is expensive to me, same as the taxi.

I like football, and Manchester United is a great team. When I arrived, the first thing I said was I wanted to watch a football match! But until now, I didn't have any chance to watch it. I will do it before I leave here.

When I arrived in the airport of Manchester. I was shocked and a little bit afraid. Because it was my first time departing form my homeland for long time. Next the day, I went to city centre. I thought it's a tiny city, walked around there less than 40 minutes. The Streets had many rubbish and gum marks. But undeniable truth is, they has many beautiful buildings. I love it so much.

When I came to Manchester, I was excited because it was my first time in Europe, but I found really bad weather, so it was very freezing and I said to myself that I would die here, because the weather is terrible in Britain. Really I hated Manchester , so I had a lot of bad luck at the beginning of my course of English in Manchester because I did not understand the people and all time I felt sad, but now I love Manchester it is one of the most wonderful cities in England and if you are thinking to come here, you should not think it a lot because I am sure that you will love it too.

I have been here for 3 months, I remember when I arrived in Manchester I felt unconfident I did not know nothing, first week was a little strange for me, because I had to get up at Manchester. I was very happy because it was my first time in Europe and my first trip outside my country, the weather was a surprise for me because I knew it was cold but I did not know that it has a lot of rain. The food also was a surprise for me because I knew it was a little not good but is not all true and is the same problem in everywhere if you want to eat good food is impossible do not spend money. However, I love this city!!!

I would like to tell about my free times in Manchester. Usually I went in the city centre for some shopping and visit the old part of the city. I like move alone and sometimes I had meet friendly guys and girls from Manchester, in the last time I meet people in Manchester this guys played strange games, someone ask eggs and all fell down on the floor, and this in a club or in a road, in a bas stop everywhere in the city where we went in the night.

I am in Manchester since September 9. When I arrived here, the weather was not so good. I was so excited because it is my first time in Europe. I thought the city is more clean. But in many places I can see trash in the street. The system of transport is very nice, because you can choose take a bus, interlink and taxi. It is so ease to go to every place in the city.

yes I do. It is more amazing than I imagined. I loved the weather, the people, the life and every thing here just amazing.

Is the city bigger or smaller than you expected?
in the middle LOL. I never ever imagine my self in one time I will be here because it is like daydreams as for me. It is to difficult if I am from normal family to live a broad and lonely with out my family.

Is it expensive to live in Manchester?
I think Manchester more expensive than Oman > because I used to buy any thing that I want in a cheap price but now I must look after my money and think a lot before I buy any thing but it is good to learn a person how must he spend him money

Is there a lot to do? yes I want travel to London and Leverpool .

What do you like to do in Manchester in your spare time?
