My Travels in Italy
Florence
I want to share my own experience of travelling throughout Italy, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to. Italian people are very nice, friendly and you feel a good atmosphere in the cities. And something you cannot miss if you go to Italy... the Ice cream, or Gelato, as it's known in Italian. You will find in everywhere and, in my opinion, its very good. I travelled and visited an Italian friend I met here in Kaplan. My trip started in Venice, a beautiful city in the middle of the sea. If you want to go to the centre of Venice you must take a bus-boat which will take you to the city. The Rialto Bridge is the most important attraction there. You can also find good architecture, such as St Mark's Square, next to a Clock Tower, a few Churches and other nice attractions. I went to Florence as well. A lot of places, museums, the Cathedral, important squares or Vecchio Bridge are located there. Also a very famous statue, The David by Michelangelo. The city has a good environment and is not very crowded, so it's a good place to visit. Finally, one of the most important cities, I would say in Europe,Rome. There are many things to do there, visit The Vatican, Basilica of St Peter, The Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Stadio Olimpico (home of Rome and Lazio football teams) and other important Squares all over the city, where you can find beautiful monuments and touristic places with a lot of history. But if you are planning to go to Rome, be prepared to find an amazing but overcrowded city. Anyway, I strongly suggest that you visit Italy if you have the chance. I'm completely sure you won't regret.
