Places to visit in Thailand
My name is Thanachai and I come from Thailand. I would like to recommend some places to visit in my beautiful home town of Krabi and its surroundings.
Krabi is a small province with a perfectly clean sea, stunning scenery and an excellent level of service - all these describe the province of Krabi, which is an incredibly beautiful area in southern Thailand on the Coast of Andaman Sea. Lonely cliffs, palm trees, white sand beaches, small islands and crystal-clear sea.
Where to go
“ Koh Phi Phi “, which is the largest island of the group, is the most visited island, and is the only island with permanent natives, the second largest island is Ko Phi Phi Lee ( Ko Phi Phi Leh). The island came to worldwide fame when it was used as a location for 2000 film “The Beach”. It takes 2hours by cruise or 45 minutes by speed boat from Krabi.
Ao Nang is a central point of the coastal province of Krabi. The town consists of main street, which is full of restaurants, bars, shops, varied standard of hotels. There are many activities to do such as scuba diving and climbing .Most of the climbs are actually in the areas around the Railay, Tonsai and Phra Nang beaches which take 15 minutes by long-tail boat. The other islands which cannot be accessed by road are Poda Island and Chicken Island.
Koh Lanta lies on the west coast of Andaman Sea in between Krabi and Phi Phi Island. The size of the island is 6 km wide and over 30 km long. 9 beaches lie from the north to the south with fantastic white beaches. There are over 60 small islands and plenty with forest, mangroves. It is only 30 minutes by car and 10 minutes by ferry from the mainland.
