Russian stereotypes
It's a well known fact, that there are lots of stereotypes about Russia. And sometimes they can be ridiculously stupid. For example bears walking down the streets, that the only food in Russia is vodka, finally to top it all, we all live in Syberia.
You just can take a look at the world map and you will see how enormously big the Russian Federation is. It means that there are many people living there. So, of course, you can find such people in Russia, who prefer vodka to normal food, but I can say that most Russians choose different sport activities instead of being unhealthy. We also have a great choice of dishes that can be served, different kinds of appetisers, first courses and so forth.
Another stereotype to be mentioned here is that the average temperature in Russia is about -37 degrees. It's not true again. We have got four seasons, these are: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. So the average temperature can range from +35 degrees to -35, it depends on the current season.
To sum it up I'd like to mention how the Russian people spend free time. There are many people who like to go fishing or we often go to a cinema, watch a football or basketball game, ice hockey is also one of Russia's favourite activities. I think we should visit a country before trying to criticise it.
