Fortaleza, Brazil
Fortaleza is the state capital of Ceará, located in northeastern, Brazil. It has a population of 2,5 million and is the 5th largest city in Brazil. The city has a tropical climate with high temperatures and the temperatures are not much different through the year, which is 27 °C. The breeze during hot days is refreshing because wind speed in the city is typical of sea-side cities. Fortaleza has some of the nicest beaches in Brazil, people can enjoy a day at the beach from Monday to Sunday. Besides enjoying the beaches, visitors can enjoy the nightlife and restaurants that opens every day at the week, take city tours, go shopping, take short trips to beaches or have lunch in many old warehouses which were refurbished and became bars and restaurants in the central area of town. Fortaleza also stages music festivals in Brazil, such as Ceará Music. This yearly event includes local artists and international pop rock stars for 3 days. Around 25 thousand people enjoy the fun and several concerts, electronic music and fashion shows. The city has the biggest aquactic park in Latin America, called Beach park. The city will be one of the host cities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup for which Brazil is the host nation.
